QA Head

Job title : Head of QA

Location : Bandra, Mumbai

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Full responsibility and ownership for the quality of all products of the company

- Responsible for maintaining quality for each release

- Manage day to day team activities and co-ordinate between Business Users, System Analysis, Developers and Testers

- Responsible for hiring, grooming and mentoring the team

- Identifying gaps in between understanding requirements to distribution of work at off-shore level

- Ensure that each resource should be aware of the processes and should have the overview of all methodologies

- Support Team in executing projects

- Ensure release/project initiation and closure is done as per plan and defined process

- Identify resources for release/project requirements

Technical Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology field Engineering background (Graduation in BE / BTech, BSC, BCA / MCA) is a pre-requisite

- Aggregate percentage of SSC / HSC or equivalent levels should be above 60 %

- Overall 8+ years of experience in Software Testing or related field

- Experience of over 5 years in Web Application Testing

- Experience of 2 or more years in Automation

- Experience in performance testing of web applications

- 1 year of web security testing experience preferred

- Experience in leading a team of 15 or more testers for more than a year

- Experience in a 'Process Driven' organization

- Familiarity with following tools

- Any bug tracking tool

- Project management tool such as MS Project

- Very strong with MS Office

- Experience in authorizing Test Conditions and Test Cases

- Strong analytical skills for effective problem solving

- Strong Project Management Skills

- Ability to Manage Personnel Resources, Motivating, developing and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to negotiate with the team or others to reconcile difference if any

- Ability to understand social perceptions

- Being aware of others reactions and understanding why they react as they do

- Willingness to travel as needed
