Head - Purchases Location - East of Kailash, Delhi Timing - 10 AM to 7 PM Full time employee; Compensation Offer : Rs. 25-30 lakhs p.a. + Incentives + ESOP

Qualifications :

Should have managed (inventory led model) FMCG Purchases for Grocery and FMCG retail companies, Min. work experience (min. 8 yrs) in FMCG retail, convenience retail, Modern trade or Ecommerce such as 24Seven, Reliance and Jio Mart, Modern Bazaar, or Retail FMCG startups like Bigbasket, Udaan, Grofers.

Good negotiator

In-depth knowledge of margin structures of various categories of FMCG - Staples, grocery, personal care, packaged food and beverages. A well networked individual in product and brand sourcing

Comfortable with using business softwares and technology

KRA of the Head - Purchases for a 24/7 family convenience store with omni-channel presence for providing immediate needs products. Because the stores are small stores + customers spend limited time at stores, the merchandise has to be perfectly curated for the needs of customers of each location. The task is to have every product category that a customer needs. Current categories include: snacks and beverages, personal care, home care, pet care, confectionery, Tobacco, hygiene needs, ready to eat food, electronics, Over-the-counter drugs, and grocery staples. Every The New Shop store has a caf- that serves delicious food round the clock, a dessert section with bakery and ice creams, gifting section and need based consumer products.

- Increase Average Margins by 2% in 2021-2022. Target gross margins = 34% for FY 2021-2022

- Standardize credit cycle of all brands to a minimum 30 days. Increase it to 45 days by FY 2022-2023

- Will dynamically identify and source relevant products and SKUs for The New Shop. Regularly meeting new brands for new product introductions. In every city we expand, the Purchase manager will have to plan the product assortment as per data and hyperlocal preferences.

- Issue timely purchase orders to Maintain above 95% fill rates at all stores

- Will negotiate deals and margins as per targets. Will regularly arrange for sample testing approvals by the management and initiate sampling at store level.

- Regularly seek promotions, discounts, visibility fees from brands. Visibilty fees (promotions) from 30% of brands by 2021-2022 for offline and online stores. Listing fees from 30% for 2021-2022 for both online and offline stores.

- Category planning to maximize sales per square feet

- Track and Eliminate expiry of goods at both warehouse and store levels. Ensure remaining shelf life of delivered good is 80% remaining

- Coordinate timely delivery of the supplies. Fresh and frozen to store, and ambient to warehouse.

- Building team of category managers.
