Head - Purchase - Renewable Energy EPC Business

Position: Purchase Head (Renewable Energy EPC Company)

Role:

- As the Purchase Head, the candidate will be a key driver in shaping the Company's procurement strategies and initiatives. Leveraging your extensive experience in the Solar EPC industry, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative contracting strategies, monitor value chain developments, and optimize portfolio-level sourcing costs. Additionally, you will play a vital role in building a strategic framework for decision-making and thought leadership in the Solar PV sector.

- Responsible for Sourcing Strategy and Initiative:

- Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive sourcing strategies.

- Monitor value chain developments, risks, and opportunities.

- Develop innovative contracting strategies.

- Drive the adoption of newer technologies in procurement.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

- Must have skills in Data Analytics and Business Reporting, Sectoral Expertise, Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, Vendor Management, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Min 10-12 yrs of experience in Purchase, preferably in a reputed Solar EPC Company

- Experience in independently handling procurement of large value items and Solar Power Project- related BOS items is desirable.

- Responsible for Cost Optimization and Risk Management:

- Optimize portfolio-level sourcing costs while minimizing associated risks.

- Build a strategic paper on Solar PV Value Chain components for decision-making and thought leadership.

- Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication.

- Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities.

- Work with vendors/suppliers to explore new ways of expanding product categories.

- Take ownership of internal processes for managing the sourcing of category items.

- Review key processes and policies, suggesting improvements based on leading practices.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure overall organizational goals are met.
