The opportunity is with a Series C funded payment and lending-related startup. This rapidly growing and extremely well-funded start-up is looking for a Head of PR to drive and build the company's corporate brand image.
Responsibilities :
- Drive the company's positioning and brand awareness across media touchpoints
- Develop key media relationships especially among the tech/startup media community
- Develop media strategy, pitch stories effectively and draft media statements and additional press materials to respond to media inquiries and manage the internal approval process (leadership, founders etc)
- Be aware of key industry events and create story/speaker opportunities for the leadership in line with the company's positioning
- Manage the daily relationship with the PR agencies/vendor relationships
Qualifications/Requirements :
- 8-12 years- experience in a corporate communications role, with some experience with a tech start-up being a plus
- Strong media relations - in both traditional and digital media
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, creative out-of-the-box thinker, with a get-things-done attitude
