Head of Proprietary Investments - Investment Banking and Asset Management - Oman Principal Accountabilities : - Strengthen the portfolio management team with new recruits - Formulate and revise as required the investment strategy and its implementation, - Provide regular strategic and tactical recommendations for portfolio rebalancing based on portfolio monitoring and markets analysis - Produce and present reports and analysis to the Investment Committee and its authorized subcommittees to help making portfolio decisions and appraising portfolio performance - Monitor portfolio positions, conduct performance analysis and risk reviews - Generate investment ideas for the proprietary investment portfolio to help achieve portfolio objectives as defined in the investment strategy document. Position Requirements : Experience & Education : - A minimum 10+ year's relevant employment history that includes professional portfolio management and investment experience. - Finance or business degree from a reputable college with strong academic credentials Specialized knowledge/skills & personal attributes : - Strong portfolio management and investment analysis skills with good track record, - Knowledge of local and regional markets, available investment products, and investing strategies, - Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals to formulate and implement a successful investment strategy.
