The Head of Business Development (HBD) is a Leadership Team position, will be primarily responsible for identifying and cultivating new opportunities to the needs of prospective business. The HBD would prioritize and strategize pursuits, manage complex sales bottlenecks, partner as required, map solutions to business scenarios at the executive level and drive revenue. The position requires carrying an executive presence, while articulating how India would be a growth enabler to the Global Organization.

Roles and Responsibilties

- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities/ new business models

- Plan, develop, and implement business development strategies for revenue growth and market penetration as well as expanding the company's reach in India and neighbouring markets.

- Analyze market, industry and technology trends to build a comprehensive business strategy for business development covering both strategic and tactical plans.

- Develop a robust "Go to Market" strategy for products in existing and emerging markets for India and neighbouring markets.

- Collaborate with the existing sales, marketing team to align with the ""Go to Market"" strategy and to achieve objectives and company goals.

- Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organisation

- Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders

- Build and collaborate with Country, Regional and Global teams for various strategic pursuits perspectives

- Ease in approaching issues from a top management view and discussing them in the overall context of a business and an ability to link solutions engagements with financial impact.

- Market research & Reports

- Lead complex, time sensitive market research projects to identify compelling insights and opportunities.

- Review reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.

- Support the Country GM to present company reports, performance and business planning to Regional and Global leadership.

- Project Management

- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress & coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

- Lead all communication with Country, Region and Global stakeholders, making sure to communicate extensively regarding milestones, reviews, and deliverables.

- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule & costs

- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

- Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Experience Required :

- MBA/ PGDM with strong financial acumen

- 15 - 20 years of relevant experience.

- Strong business skills evidenced by a business qualification or track record of managing similar businesses.

- Ability to develop and support a variety of strategic projects and initiatives and provide strategic leadership and management, ensuring that the vision is not lost in the daily operations of the organization.

- Relevant Brand experience or Marketing experience
