Job Description Head Project Finance
We are hiring for a Project Finance Head for a cement industry
Role Title - Head - Project Finance Grade - AVP/VP
Business - Finance & Accounts
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- The Head of the Project Finance provides the lead in financial management, planning, and reporting for projects.
- Ensuring approved policies, procedures and Network Standards are adhered to with the aim to increase operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
- This will be a highly visible position for an individual who demonstrates strategic and analytic thinking, confidence, creativity, effective communication skills and collaboration.
CRITICAL ACCOUNT:
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Head Site Project Finance Team to drive best practice, value-adding project controls and financial management processes between Finance and project delivery teams
- Oversee all tasks related to project accounting tasks including project expenditure reporting against budget and capitalization assessments.
- Day-to-day supervision of the project accounting and financial activities at site level
- Proactively partner with project teams to provide governance and oversight to ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures at site level.
- Evaluation of basic assumptions considered for the proposal. Sharing the comparison with already approved projects. Impact analysis due to changes in the assumptions.
- Tracking of Capex Proposals for RFA1, RFA2 till its approval.
- Keeping track of the changes between the old and new proposals & MIS.
- Tracking of approved projects, additions & reduction in the Project scope, Changes in the approved cost & MIS.
- Project wise cash flow tracking, variation with planned cash flow, reasoning of the changes in cash flow & MIS.
- Review of capex liabilities, Capex advances, CWIP.
- Project Cash flow working for MTP, Budget.
- Review of BG and actions wherever required to protect company interest.
- Explore optimization and cost reduction opportunities to bring down the Capex and Opex \cost
- Review of existing processes related to project finance, suggesting the changes required to make them effective and Robust.
ROLEHOLDER REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications: CA
Experience:
- A rich 15 to 20 years of experience in Project Finance.
- Must have worked during project phase and possess in-depth understanding of all project F&A activities.
- Should be proficient in SAP.
- Should have experience in managing people or a team.
- Ability to perform under competitive environment and tight deadlines.
- Should have experience in handling cross functional teams towards adhering to the business growth philosophy
