Production & Manufacturing - Head [ eyewear /Lens / related industry]

Job Details :

This role is responsible for leading, co-ordinating, guiding and directing the manufacturing teams for lens manufacturing & logistics in the eyewear business in line with Company guidelines and policies with the objective of meeting the manufacturing goals of production, quality, safety, Cost optimization, Capacity Optimization

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:

1. Plan, implement & review lens manufacturing strategy for eyewear business

2. Plan, monitor and control budget, inventory, overheads, resources

3. Plan, implement & review the sourcing and capacity plan with high focus on cost effectiveness, high quality and improvement

4. Recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems or other assets to enhance the overall production capabilities

5. Recommend investments to increase the capacity wherever possible in mother lab and satellite labs by introducing new machines and processes.

Manufacturing & Delivery :

1. Design and develop the production strategy & plan via investments/layouts/ machines/ manpower for lens manufacturing

2. Evaluate, develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures to ensure that meets its current and future production targets and quality standards

3. Plan and drive preventive maintenance/overhauling/reconditioning for the entire unit of all locations including utility services.

4. Own targets of lens manufacturing in and drive top line and cut costs for them

5. Set up processes, deploy resources to ensure reduction in man-hours lost

6. Facilitate the innovation/renovation agenda of in terms of source identification, start-up support, commercialization and planning

7. Provide inputs on sourcing decisions related to capacity and capability

8. Establish new manufacturing and warehousing facilities by coordinating with the different in-house and external business partners.

Productivity & Quality

1. Set up, review and monitor quality goals with optimum quality costs in order to achieve planned quality levels Logistics, Customer service

2. Guide customer service team to provide immediate complaint resolutions from all retail stores against any issues related to back - end operation.
