Head - Production - Chucks & Machine Tools Manufacturing

Introduction : The Client is well known in the Indian and Overseas Markets as manufacturers and exporters of Chucks & Machine Tools along with Fully Finished Forged and Graded Casting Parts being supplied to Major OEMs in Tractor and Automobile Industries in India. The client is considered as one of the best manufacturing units, having in-house advanced technologies to develop and manufacture various Casting, Forging & Machined Components.

Primary Role Description :

- This role will be responsible for leading the strategic and business planning for all the plants of SCM alongside the other departmental heads.

- The role will deliver all requirements through smooth production management strategy that supports the day-to-day management of production and the long-term objectives for growth and efficiency.

- The role will need to have high focus in the areas of man, machine and material utilization and efficiency, managing financial and operational risks and driving business SLAs

- This role will be responsible for designing and managing production budgets and ensuring cost utilization for better funding in areas of new and innovative methods of working for better efficiencies.

- Manage the performance of production areas through training and development, performance management systems and recognition.

- This role will need to lead the team to implement best mfg practices such as TQM,TPM, Lean Mfg etc

- This role will need to be hands on with the team and in times should be able to Dirty Their Hands along with the other workers to Lead by Example

- This role will be a key member of the senior management circle that is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy of SCM through its varied arms

- This role will need to work alongside other departmental heads and ensure cohesiveness and team spirit to build and reach the organizational goals.

- This role will need to lead other employees and set forth a professional culture for others to follow.

Organizational Roles & Responsibilities :

- Work with Departmental Heads to ensure smooth operations.

- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.

- Planning, Organizing and managing abilities - Complete Quality Oriented

- Develop, coach and lead the team

- Monitor and Maintain reports as per requirement to provide necessary information

- Develop manpower and Evaluate training effectiveness

Key Requirements - Education & Certificates :

- A Mechanical Engineering Degree is a must.

- Should have knowledge of CNC, VMC and HMC machining

- Candidates that have an additional MBA degree will be preferred

- Any other additional qualification / certification in production / quality will be an added advantage

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills :

- 15 - 20 years overall experience, with at least 10 years heading Production of a unit or multiple units

- Excellent presentation /communication skills

- Functional knowledge of sector is mandatory

- Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with high execution

- Highly developed interpersonal skills with solid negotiation, mediation and diplomatic skills

- Knowledge of best manufacturing practices such as TQM, TPM, Lean Mfg
