Head - Product Management - eCommerce

We are hiring for HEAD OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, ECOMMERCE for one of our clients, a leading enabler of global trade and an integral part of the supply chain. Headquartered at Dubai, they operate 78 marine and inland terminals and over 50 related businesses in over 40 countries across six continents with a significant presence in both high-growth and mature markets. They have a dedicated team of over 45,000 employees from 110 countries cultivating long-standing relationships with governments, shipping lines, importers and exporters, communities, and many other important constituents of the global supply chain, to add value and provide quality services today and tomorrow.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In line with vision of being a global trade enabler, our client seeks to develop the eCommerce business focusing on B2B, B2C and B2B2C businesses. They are looking for a seasoned product management leader who can help position their business to the market, sharpen the pencils on value proposition, understand customer needs, be aware of competitive landscape, and develop their strategy to make eCommerce a large business.

This role will work with the CTO, COO, CFO, and other business unit heads to align the eCommerce strategy, hire a team of product managers, and execute on the strategy. They will own the roadmap, its prioritization, and rapidly iterate on projects, programs, and features in conjunction with software development teams across the company.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Work with executives and business leaders to align and clearly articulate the strategy and positioning of eCommerce

- Form a roadmap in alignment with business leaders, and prioritize

- Execute on the roadmap in conjunction with software development teams

- Formulate go-to-market plans, and measure the outcomes of the product offering, combine it with customer feedback and rapidly iterate for success.

- Be very hands on in analyzing data, be able to delve into any level of detail, yet strategic in outlook

- Hire and mentor a strong team of product managers for specific functions within eCommerce, and foster their professional and personal growth

- Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks

- Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior leadership

- Define, measure, and improve Key Performance Indicators for the team

- Show clarity of thought in verbal and written communication with executives and team members.

- Work collaboratively, seek input, and make the right decisions in the middle of ambiguity. Be proactive and own resolutions to blockers.

- Ultimately co-own the revenue and profitability of eCommerce, along with the business unit head

- Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

- Bachelor's in engineering or related scientific area, preferably in Computer Science

- Master's in business administration

- 15-20 years of product management experience, preferably in eCommerce or a related B2C business.

- Must have led product management for large businesses in the past

- Experience managing high performing product managers

- Clear demonstration of business growth that they created in prior companies

- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully with peers across UI/UX, product management, engineering, sales, finance, and operations.

- Ability to operate fully independently, drive business output with minimal supervision
