Head - Product Development - Retail Banking (10-25 yrs)

Principal Accountabilities:-

- Develop the overall Product Development Strategy encompassing all areas. Additionally provide support for the development of products with specific input into the product strategy.

- Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements

- Monitor the liabilities products performance of competitors to ensure that the bank maintains and develops its competitive position. Maintain an awareness of development in fields of deposits products marketing and research to ensure that the bank continues to compete effectively. Carry out regular market research and present the result to personal banking management

- Increase market share for Assets, liability products and Remittances, increase yield from each of loan product offering.

- Develop and improve on the product construct of the Outward International Remittance Electronic payments like speed transfer/SWIFT.

- Build a real time remittance value proposition for Electronic payments.

- Ownership for driving overall product P&L and optimization of the P&L by controlling costs and improving product margins.

- Responsible to design, recommend, develop and implement new relevant assets product offerings Credit Policy and Processes to drive business volumes.

- Introduction of digital product development and the process of transformation

- Analyze industry trends and market demands to recommend product enhancements. Monitoring the market and reviewing the existing products continuously

- Managing the Product restructuring process and conduct annual budgeting for the existing products.

- Responsible for launching the Lifestyle segment proposition this involves leading marketing activities, product development, process design and implementation.

- Implement new business development and new product performance measures (scorecard) to track and monitor growth and product performance.

- Oversees key projects for the development of new solutions in the Product Development department. Translates cross-functional and business needs into tactical, cost effective, and feasible project plans. Provides project management support to all cross-functional Core Teams.

- Ensure that compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements is met at all times.

- To make self-aware of the requirements and check to ensure that working practices are in line with these necessary standards.

- On-board new digital-only products directly or in partnership with fintechs.

Personnel Specifications:-

- Post graduate in Business Management and Marketing with at least 10 - 15 years of branch banking, sales exposure and Product development.

- Exposure to fintechs/ banking partnerships with fintechs and products such as Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) is preferable.

- Good interpersonal skills, diplomatic, mature and flexible understanding approach.
