This role while being based out of India it will work with the Global CTO to galvanize the rate at which we drive delivery of solutions (a,b,c) for our clients. Primary focus being developing product engineering capabilities and second fast forwarding progress on products.
Key competencies we are looking - the person needs to be a thought leader who understands and can contribute to the Roadmap and drives delivery excellence through engineering teams and architects. The delivery approach should be sustained and institutionalized and help scaling of the organization.

Looking for a Head of Product Development to lead the Engineering Team in India. A successful candidate will coordinate with Business Units to deliver world-class solutions to customers and with Product Team to partner on developing key components of product platform. As Head of Product Development, You will own a product portfolio, provide thought leadership for India Engineering Organization and work directly with executive management.
You will accomplish this by:
- Partnering with executive leaders to define the overall product direction for the product portfolio. This will require a "Product Management" mindset because of the need to reach out to "customers" (internal execs/teams), presenting and driving alignment around vision, creating a clear long-range roadmap, etc.
- Influencing through active listening and engagement at all levels of the organization
- Driving multiple high profile program workstreams spanning teams in India and US
- Setting standards around patterns, frameworks, and technologies to promote a simple and consistent approach across multiple types of services
- Being an industry influencer around software architecture best practices, including supportability, scalability, performance, availability, maintainability, extensibility and security
- Driving transparency and decision making through cross-functional leadership team of your programs
- Providing technical mentorship to the India Engineering Team
- Working with BUs to provide technical business development support in key customer accounts
What you'll need to be successful:
- 3+ years of experience in running a large development team
- Launching new products to market
- Experience in the enterprise software space
- Proven experience driving organizational transformation
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and drive to success through influence
- Strong communication, partnership, and management skills to lead and collaborate with engineering, DevOps and product teams
- 3+ years in a leadership role in a large technology organization building services and micro-services
- Experience driving timely requirements into virtual teams across many parts of an organization, including monitoring, security, cost to serve, tooling, services
- Prior success in fast-paced agile environments with mentoring and leading by example
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and the tradeoffs of developing applications that run in first-party data centers vs in public cloud
- Solid understanding of the Google SRE operational model and the Service Ownership requirement definition including across the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars
- Ability to arbitrate technical discussions and make challenging calls
- Experience in building an operational model for organizations/business units
- 10+ Years in leadership roles in product engineering
