Head - Procurement - Steel Industry

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose: This position is for the Procurement & Supply Chain Leader who would be responsible for end-to-end Purchase, distribution, and Cost Estimating activities across our steel business (which includes sourcing of Raw Material, Coal, Refractories, Services, Capex & Opex procurement etc.)

Main Task & Responsibilities:

- Identifying the needs of the company, performing market intelligence, evaluating suppliers, develop key matrices based on cash velocity, total cost of ownership for business decisions

- Selecting the suppliers and then engaging with suppliers and developing contracts.

- Managing overall sourcing & distribution strategy, balancing the budget, being constantly vigilant about finding systemic procurement and supply chain improvements.

- Successful track record of implementation of best practices, TCO methodology, performance, and talent management. Bifocal approach based on strategic and tactical issues, equally high level, and detail oriented.

- Developing goals, standards, and metrics to keep track of leading KPIs.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate fulfilling following criteria would be given preference

- Bachelor of Engineering with a full-time MBA from the premier institute (APICS/CPS/Six Sigma certification would be added advantage)

- 20+ years of experience in the Leadership role of Procurement & Supply Chain in Steel industry
