Head - Procurement & Planning - FMCG - IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI

At present, we are having an urgent opening for HEAD - PROCUREMENT & PLANNING for a REPUTED FMCG Co based at MUMBAI location.

The company is a fast-growing FMCG company with a yearly turnover of 1200 - 1600 crores

Designation: Head-Procurement and Planning

Reportees - 3 Sr. Manager, Procurement, 1 Manager Supply Planning

Job Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible for leading the team and driving company performance, profitability and efficiency in Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing and Contract Manufacturing.

- To develop sourcing strategies for all the major categories of Raw and Packaging Materials across manufacturing locations.

- Closely work with the Leadership Team to make and finalize the Procurement Budget for the organization.

- To track the key cost factors impacting the strategic categories on a monthly basis and review the same with category managers on a regular basis to take business decisions

- Responsible for establishing, managing and executing the regular Sales and Operations Planning Processes for the organizations.

- Accountable for national and depot level Forecasting, Demand Management, Distribution Planning and Inventory Management and New Product Launch Planning.

- Manage Demand and Supply Planning operations and manage distribution of FG to the depots.

- Accountable for inventory management, production compliance and network optimization to ensure optimum service levels at the depots.

- Responsible for developing and managing Contract Manufacturers (CPs) to ensure timely supply of products as per the company norms and budgeted price to support business continuity.

- Lead the team for identification and finalization of CPs(Contract Packers) for setting up of manufacturing units meeting the company norms for supply of FGs.

- Responsible for reducing variable manufacturing cost at the plant level operations in coordination with quality teams and CPs. -

- To manage the entire Logistics at the National Level with respect to service levels within a pre-defined budget. Primarily responsible for all transportation management activities like monitoring placement and lead time, transporter's performance SLA for FG and RM/PM.

- Responsible for sourcing of Capex across all the manufacturing units.

- Manage and influence a Supply Base of 150 vendors across India and drive supplier performance improvement by measurement of key parameters-OTIF, Quality, Value Optimization and Innovation Support.

- To review supplier performance on a Quarterly basis along with key stakeholders like operations and Quality Control and publish vendor score card. Lead supplier selection and qualification, contract negotiation and implementation of the contract by collaborating with internal stakeholders like R&D, operations, QC and legal department.

- Responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies and delivering end to end value with a strong pipeline of projects every year.
