Head - Procurement
We are looking for a Head-Procurement / Materials urgently.
Candidate should be from manufacturing /heavy engineering sectors who have good experience in procurement of machining (mostly CNC) and fabrication components.

Qualification : BE (Mech)
Experience : 18-25 yrs
Job Profile :
Planning & Budgeting :
- Manage entire purchase related operations .
- Formulating budgets & developing procurement strategies to meet sourcing requirements.
Procurement / Sourcing :
- Develop and implement key purchase / procurement strategies, contingency plans and alignment with project requirements.
- Negotiating & finalizing terms & condition of contracts, agreements, terms of payment, liquidated damages, Performance Guarantee, cancellation clauses and legal implications, if any.
- Co-ordinate with expeditors, engineering, production & suppliers for smooth flow of materials in line with project schedule.
Materials Planning :
- Ensure optimum level of inventory for achieving cost savings. Prepare & adhere to norms for stocking as well as preservation of materials.
Supplier Development :
- Supplier relationship management by long term agreement, blocking supplier capacity based on forecast & hand holding support.
- Developing new / alternate vendors for import Substitution
International Contracting :
- Manage all activities from request for quotation, bid evaluation (technical & commercial), shortlisting of vendors, finalization of commercial conditions, drafting of contract, Final negotiation & Award of contract.
Sub-Contracting :
- Preparing technical & commercial comparison for aiding make or buy decisions.
- Vendor finalization for sub-contracting various categories of components / services.
- Manage verification of contractor's profile to confirm suitability, perform rating analysis for various items as well as carrying out validation/ checking/ modification/ value
Logistics Management :
- Managing & troubleshooting logistic networks for ensuring seamless product movement and timely deliveries.
- Improving reliability of products through cross functional teams and initiation of CAPA with suppliers.
Team Management :
- Direct, Lead and motivate workforce for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness / efficiency.
- Cross functional co-ordination with various internal functions for smooth execution.
Functional :
- Product and process Knowledge
- Quality Management System
- Negotiation skills and Purchasing commercial awareness
- SAP, Safety & 5S awareness.
