Our client, a D2C Retail Brand, is looking for a procurement head for their team. The ideal candidate should have experience in acquiring raw materials, maintaining quality standards, and more. You should be able to understand strategic sourcing practices and supplier market dynamics. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Oversight: Responsible for acquiring both direct and indirect materials for the brand. 2. Budget Management: Prepares annual budgets and ensures achieving cost-saving objectives. 3. Packaging Development: Holds full responsibility for developing various packaging components as well as sourcing raw materials for New Product Development (NPD) and Transition plans. 4. Third-Party Expenditure Optimization: Focuses on optimizing expenditure on third-party services while upholding required service levels and quality standards. 5. Policy Compliance: Ensures adherence to procurement policies and devises internal SOPs for procedural compliance. 6. Process Enhancement: Continuously enhances procurement processes and practices by integrating relevant best practices and adapting to ERP changes. 7. Supplier Relations: Manages the supplier lifecycle, from qualification to strategic partnerships, ensuring a capable supply base for timely and quality deliveries. 8. Procurement Reporting: Manages and disseminates procurement Management Information System (MIS) data, tracking and reporting key performance metrics like savings, payment terms, and supplier base optimization. 9. Risk Mitigation: Ensures timely execution of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, effectively managing risks related to quality, cost, and supply. 10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with relevant legal obligations pertaining to purchased goods, services, or works. 11. Team Development: Identifies skill gaps within the team, collaborating with HR to address staffing needs. Qualifications: - Holds a post-graduate degree in Supply Chain from a Tier 1 College. - Possesses 10-15 years of experience in Procurement roles, preferably within FMCG companies. - Demonstrates strong understanding of strategic sourcing practices and supplier market dynamics. - Experience in implementing digital procurement tools such as e-RFX, e-auction, and catalog management is advantageous. - Proficient in written and verbal communication skills. - Provides support to business leads on procurement-related matters for new initiatives.
