Looking to hire Head Procurement for Leading Manufacturing Firm based out in Mumbai. Around 8 - 15 years' of experience into Procurement Digitalization, Strategic Procurement, Digital Transformation.

Set a Strategic Vision

- Develop and lead the strategic vision for the Procurement Center of Excellence, aligning it with the organization's overall procurement goals and objectives.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement to drive innovation and continuously improve the CoE's performance.

- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and analytics to enhance procurement processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Manage P2P Process

- As P2P Central Process Owner (CPO) define and continuously improve end-to-end P2P sub-processes for Cost optimization, efficiency maximization and organizational policy compliance.

- Stay connected with external P2P leading practices/ performance benchmarks and lead efforts to develop P2P vision

- Ensure P2P Processes and SOPs (with clear accountabilities) are defined and known to all concerned stakeholders.

- Accountable for ensuring process compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures.

- Strategize and lead standardization/ harmonization of P2P process by identifying action items and coordinating their implementation with support of PCoE Process lead and Unit Process Owners (UPOs- Oversee identification of relevant Procure to Pay KPIs at various levels within organization and define their reporting frequency. Ensure efficient KPI reporting leveraging technology.

- Manage P2P process performance though leveraging the PCoE governance model. Chair governance meeting with plant SPOCS and bring issues/ improvement points for structured discussion with senior leadership.

- Benchmark procurement results and capabilities against standards of performance (internal and external) to identify challenges and relative positioning.

- Review and analyse process performance gaps and initiate improvement actions.

Managing Procurement Analytics

- Supervise generation of preliminary insights from spend analysis reports and facilitate opportunity identification in coordination with Strategic procurement group and cluster/unit procurement leads.

- Accountable for selecting right partners for providing market insight reports, customized category research or price Index information.

- Oversee supplier analytics by providing inputs to vendor segmentation strategy, generation of insights from consolidated vendor performance scorecards and facilitating corrective actions.

- Plan use of digital tools for ease of data/ Insight sharing and consumption

- Ensure secure knowledge transfer and exchange by storing and maintaining analytics project deliverables and templates

Program and relationship management

- Supervise implementation of identified savings opportunities and P2P process improvement projects by driving coordination between cross-functional teams.

- Aggressively facilitate rapid issue resolution and decision making by highlighting key challenges and risks to senior leadership.

- Drive implementation of key strategic initiatives requiring direct engagement from Leadership / ExCom

- Closely manage the relationship with internal customers and stakeholders across units and corporate

- Proactively meet Senior leadership to seek steer and support on Projects managed by PCoE

Managing Procurement Skills & Competencies

- Oversee development and establishment of procurement competency framework.

- Coordinate with HR to update job descriptions when required.

- Oversee creation of training plan for procurement and coordinate with HR to finalize training content.

- Supervise training administration in order to ensure that the procurement professionals receive adequate training to improve performance.

- Lead training initiatives when required.

- Develop and execute procurement analytics maturity journey roadmap for PCoE

- Oversee development of procurement analytics capabilities and adoption of relevant analytic tools.
