Job Overview:

The Head of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and sourcing activities within the organization. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, optimizing supply chain processes, and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and budgetary constraints.

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

- Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize procurement workflows.

- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance on vendor selection and contract negotiations.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical sourcing standards.

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track procurement performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support their professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

- B.Tech and MBA from premium institutes are preferred.

- Minimum of 18 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and vendor relationship management.

- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
