You will have the ability to not only monitor portfolio performance but also introduce strategies and initiatives to push the company in its scalability path.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for defining policies in different stages of the lifecycle of the portfolio, and monitoring the performance of them. He/She will collaborate closely with other functions to maintain a reporting framework that will be to support decision making.

The responsibilities include:

- Drive the design, testing, and implementation of credit strategies to achieve business goals

- Drive consumer oriented policies for current and new products (BTC)

- Design risk client acquisition policies to help manage overall risk in our Salary Lending portfolio (BTB)

- Test and maintain pricing policies to ensure appropriate profitability of the loan book

- Work within the Risk Function as well as with the Data and Business Analytics functions, to develop and implement appropriate strategy, portfolio management and credit risk management analysis, and controls

- Lead research initiatives to investigate the credit portfolio's risk composition ahead of industry risk migrations, name specific credit migrations or potential unknown events

- Build and maintain a portfolio management framework

- Research and analyze data, preparing and presenting analytical information and ensuring data integrity of the company's loan portfolio periodically

- Conduct research investigating quantitative measurement of credit portfolio performance

- Leverage Standardized and ad hoc reports, and key portfolio management analyses like Risk-Return, Business Performance, Delinquencies, Losses, and Recoveries for use in the Risk Committee

- Collaborate with the Credit Structuring team to create and maintain a proper investors reporting framework

- Lead or collaborate on special projects in support of other teams related to risk and profitability

Qualifications

- Degree (preferably in a field such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics) and a minimum of 5 years experience in banking, credit risk or portfolio management

- Strong financial analysis, underwriting, risk assessment, and risk mitigation skills

- Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

- Knowledge of Python (preferred) or similar data analysis tools

- An inquisitive nature, strong communication and negotiation skills are required to effectively obtain business requirements and approvals from various stakeholders

- Detail orientation, good interpersonal skills, accuracy, focus and teamwork are required

- Accuracy in analysis and the timely achievement of goals is crucial to success in this role
