We have opening for Head-Policy (SME & Retail) with our NBFC client.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title - SME & Retail Risk Policy Head/Lead

Grade / Level - AVP

Division / Department - Product Portfolio & Policy

Location - Mumbai

Experience - 7-8 years with 3-4 years Relevant experience in SME

Reporting to - Portfolio Head – Retail & SME

Education

- MBA from Top Institute/CA

JOB PURPOSE

- We seek highly effective & competent individual who will be positioned as the SME & Retail Risk Policy Head for the Small & Medium Enterprise and Retail lending division who shall be responsible for the Policy development, implementation, training and portfolio review initiatives

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Performance Indicators

Introduction of New Policy lines

Policy Formulations

- This would include framing of new policies for SME lending space and Retail Lending as target defined by the management as well as rolling out amendments to the existing product policies keeping in view the market realities, business needs as well as feedback received from various quarters.

- Interaction with business and allied teams to incorporate changes. Track and react to external influence on portfolio- Bureau/rating agencies. Align/alter policies in line with- Loss forecast, track portfolio performance basis the loss plan. Business forecast- balance the business and loss forecast, calibrate policies to achieve management numbers.

Portfolio Reviews

- This would include Pan India Portfolio Reviews as well as Regional & Location based Reviews. Portfolio Management acvities- based on collection feedback & Identify and act upon various risk arising out of credit/process activities. Risk mitigation- bureau/rating agencies/collection reports to be reviewed.

Case Study Analysis

- Doing detailed Case studies on the delinquent cases & giving the relevant feedback to the ground level sales as well as credit teams.

Credit Reviews

- This would include doing good bad analysis - picking up good & bad files & analysing what went wrong and what was done correctly in those cases and ensuring the feedback goes back to the ground level sales & credit teams. Process adherence as measured by audit ratings, FTR score and TAT are key deliverables.

Hindsighting

- This would entail doing Hindsighting of the disbursed cases with an eye on adherance to the laid down product as well as process parameters.

Branch Visitations

- Based on the Portfolio reviews, case study analysis etc. visiting branches acquires importance.

- Trainings to the field credit & hindsighting teams. Effective training and timely communication of policy changes

- Quality as measured by delinquency, bounce rates and loss numbers are key deliverables

Data Analytics

- Keeping the track of industry and update the strategies accordingly

- Understanding and reviewing key market drivers, issues, players, and competitive market offerings

- Provide consistent and systematic input on competitive actions in the market place

- Analysis of internal data and work out & implement action plan for continuous improvement & increase portfolio efficiency

- Portfolio & Industry analysis on regular basis & new strategies based on portfolio & Industry behavior

Action Plans

- Translate market needs into clearly defined and detailed policy requirements

- Co-ordination with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Credit to fine-tune and deliver sourcing policy as per market requirements

- Managing relationship with Credit bureaus including developing strategies leveraging bureau information

Qualifications & Experience: Preferred

- Must be an MBA or Post Graduate

- 7-8 years experience in the SME space with an NBFC / Bank (Must)

- Experience of handling policy design in current assignment and Must have first hand sales experience for at least 3-4 years. Credit experience would be an added advantage

- In-depth understanding, and a point-of-view, on all competitive policies available in the market

- Ability to synthesize data and trends along with a strong feel of market dynamics

- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment with all levels of the organization
