Plant HR/IR Head

Responsible for managing the entire gamut of HR/IR initiatives at the Plant & Opportunity to be part of the leadership of the Plant for the manufacturing giant.

Key Responsibilities.:

- Reporting into the Unit Head your roles & responsibilities will include:

- Working with the leadership to manage the plant HR activities.

- Participating with the leadership team in project planning and execution.

- Manpower planning and budgeting to attract the right talent to fill key positions within a stipulated time frame.

- Ensuring the successful launch of the plant by liaising with all external authorities to ensure legal & statutory compliance.

- Creating the overall HR Strategy in line with the business plans and executing on all aspects of HR wrt Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Organisation Design, Talent Management and Industrial Relations.

- Performance management of all the Factory Employees.

- Conduct Job analysis for each job to know the worth and reward him accordingly.

- Management of salaries and wages for the employees.

- Safety concerns and ensuring all safety programs are followed within the unit.

- Negotiations with the job union to arrive at consensus and frame a draft agreement

- Needs to play a Key role in Forecasting the Labour Requirements and plan them accordingly

- Give Training and Development to the employees.

- Ensure Safety and healthy working conditions for employees within the unit.

- IR Relations-Compliance Needs are monitored on a monthly basis and need to be taken corrective actions based on the monthly Report. This also needs to be consulted with Factory manager and ERD head.

Qualification And Experience:

- MBA in Human Resources with 10-15 years of experience in a Plant HR role in a Manufacturing set up.

- Demonstrated success in development and application of HR policy, recruitment & staffing, and talent development.

- Strong project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills

- Must have willingness and ability to meet with day shift employees every day, as well as evening and night shift employees periodically each week, to actively engage culture through positive interactions with the workforce.

- Must maintain reasonable availability during non-working hours for consultation with on-site management and be willing to be on-site during non-working hours to address time sensitive HR issues

- Working knowledge of the following areas: employee relations, H.R. management, industrial relations, business practices, H.R. legal practices, Labor Relations (if applicable) and generally accepted managerial practices and procedures.

- Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Company's manuals.

- Must have the ability to occasionally stand, walk, and climb stairs as frequently as needed.

- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
