Job Title : Head-Partnership Building & Resource Mobilization  Location : New Delhi, India  Reporting to : Executive Director, Indian Public Libraries Movement project  About Repositioning India Public Libraries :  - Public libraries in India have the potential to make a dramatic difference in the empowerment of India's masses and in the development of a better-educated and informed citizenry. With ongoing investments and leadership, the Indian public library system can provide vital community and information resources for millions of Indians and ensure they benefit from rapidly changing technology.  - The Indian Public Library Movement project seeks to impact the way public library services are rendered to the citizens of the country.   The project will focus on four key areas :  - Promote the use of public libraries among the citizens through campaigns and advocate for necessary library policies and financial support from the state.  - Enhance the capacity of 300 libraries (60 of these at the district level) to deliver services that meet the knowledge needs of their communities.  - Introduce new library services in response to the demand expressed by citizens, including initiating ICT-enabled e-resources.  - Establish the India Public Library Movement to strengthen and sustain public libraries as knowledge centres for all Indians, especially those who depend on public resources to meet their knowledge needs, and help our nation achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  - Indian Public Library Movement is led by the NASSCOM Foundation with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  ABOUT NASSCOM Foundation :  - NASSCOM Foundation is a leading non-profit organization driving technology for good. Drawing strength from its parent body NASSCOM, the Foundation works closely with NASSCOM member companies, NGOs, emerging social enterprises and Government to foster a strategic relationship between technology and development.  - Its core initiatives include working for Persons with Disabilities, fostering innovative solutions for social good, creating unique skilling models for underserved communities, digital literacy where it is the industry partner to the Govt. of India's National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM / DiSHA) and Digital libraries.  Nature of position : Full time for 2 years on contractual basis, can be extended up-to additional 6 months.  - NASSCOM Foundation is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Fundraising Manager for the IPLM project. The position holder will be expected to lead on all aspects of the resource mobilization operations, catalyze partnerships and fund raise for the project.  - This will include facilitating collaborative relationships with stakeholders from Government at various levels, national and international NGOs, and corporates.  Duties and responsibilities include :  - Derive the overall fundraising strategy and resource mobilization targets of the project, supplementing existing grants with funding from relevant Government departments, foundations, corporates, and other sources.  - Identify and explore donor pools - Carry out prospect research and develop a comprehensive fundraising database that captures all relevant information, as well as handling of all administrative aspects of fundraising.  - Prepare and give presentations, write proposals that could attract financial and in-kind donations, including applications for grants and overseeing fundraisers events and campaigns working closely with advocacy and communication Manager.  - Execute an effective donor engagement plan to keep in touch with existing donors and stakeholders and build long-term relationship.  - Work collaboratively across departments to develop and deliver on effective donor communications, reporting and compliance with the aim of cultivating, growing and sustaining long-term funding and collaboration. Ensure reporting to funders is accurate, transparent and timely.  - Liaise with the Executive Director and rest of the team to ensure the organisation's cash-flow and financial sustainability through careful budgeting, realistic fundraising targets and coordinating timely access to funds from supporters.  - Develop and maintain alliances and institutional partnerships with other organizations.  Eligibility Criteria :  Essential :  Educational Qualifications :  - Master's degree in Public Relations/Marketing/MSW, or any other related fields.  Experience :  - Minimum of 10-15 years experience working in fundraising, experience in the development sector preferably.  - Proven experience in fund raising strategy development and planning; Experience in raising funds from Government Departments.  - Experience in working with development sector organizations and with social issues would be preferable.  Competencies :  - Proven networking skills  - Excellent communication (oral and written English), presentation, interpersonal and negotiating skills for engaging with a wide variety of contacts  - Good conceptual skills and ability to think and operate innovatively & independently  - Good administration and organizational skills and ability to optimize independent use of time against variable workload.  - Ability to work well independently with partners and within teams and Proficient in MS Office  Desirable :  - Familiarity with political, economic, and social issues in India  - An understanding of regional context of public library provision
