One of the largest Broadcast Media Companies in India is looking at a senior level position for " Head Organization Effectiveness". The organization is going through a major transformation & to implement the policies and structures during this transition is hiring a professional with the following roles and responsibilities.

Location : Mumbai

Function : Human resource

Sub function : Organizational Effectiveness

Reporting to : Chief Human Resource Officer

Roles & Responsibilities :

The Head of the OE would be expected to understand the articulated Strategy for the Organization / BU / Function, (short, mid and long term) and its implications on Organization Design.

Organization Design Diagnostics :

- Key challenges facing the Organization today.

- Issues caused due to poor Organization Design.

- Changes are required to the Organization Design to improve organizational performance and achieve strategy

Organizational Bench marking :

Operating Model & Design Principles.

- Key design principles the revised organization design should enable.

- Operating Model for the ideal organization .

- High Level organizational processes flows .

Organization Structure Design :

- Role based organization structure till the last level .

- Role Profiles for each key roles .

- Working of the structure & relationships work in matrix situations.

- Role Documentation, Clarification & Performance Measure Definition:

- Define detailed role documents and performance measures for key roles

- Conduct role clarification workshops and bring the role documents to life through appropriate communication to all role holders.

Key performance measures for each role :

Job Evaluation & Grading:

- Undertake Job Evaluation for key / benchmark roles

- Create grading and banding structure based on the output of

Job Evaluation :

- Evaluate new roles & fit them into grade / band structure

- Organization Design Mechanics. Define:

- Review mechanisms at various levels..

- Issue escalation & resolution mechanisms

- SLAs for various functions

- Decision making across the organization

(Decision Matrices, Responsibility Allocation Matrices)

Implementation :

- Mapping of people to various positions, preparing transition plans for moving to the desired organization, conducting communication workshops, assistance in conducting planning & review mechanisms, etc.

- Review plans regularly to achieve desired results

Workforce / Manpower Planning :

- Detailed role analysis / activity analysis for various roles

- Create manpower models for estimating manpower .

- Create projections for manpower numbers based on business projections

HR Systems & Process Design :

- Develop and Implement effective systems and processes in all areas of HR (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management, Rewards & Policies, Learning & Development, HRIS, etc.)

Job Specifications :

Education Qualification : BE/B.tech + MBA

Work Experience : 7+ years experience in a reputed Manufacturing, BPO, IT, Consulting firm or Organization. Should have worked on assignments related to Organization Design / HR Process Design

Preferred Industry : Human Capital / Management Consulting.
