Head - Operations China Region

- One of our Global Clients in the Broadcast space is looking for Professionals who are based out Beijing handling the Region .

- The Position is head of China operations and will function as a Liaison head. The Channel is being launched in Mandarin and Cantonese-language which will serve the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong along with other markets with substantial Chinese viewership.

- The Television Channel will provide news, information, and entertainment programs ranging from political and economic news and current affairs through talk shows, film and music reviews to movies, and GEC.

Experience :

- The candidate must have a great knowledge of the media business in the region. The candidate will understand satellite and terrestrial capacities and have a an understanding to secure license and channel position, to understand to handle, manage regulatory compliances within the stipulations, understand the broadcast regulations with China Mainland and within the framework of rules and regulations.

- Ability to liaise with Chinese State Administration of Radio, Films and Television (SARFT) authorities, experience handing authorities within the General Administration for Press and Publication departments, Large broadcaster houses, distribution channels. Apt in understanding the Audio-Video Programs Transmitted through Digital networks, platforms, streaming, through networks, DT platforms.

- He will also understand Provisions on Administration of Importation and Broadcasting of Overseas TV Programs in the region.

- As an experienced media professional the candidate will understand all the aspects / spheres in the business from acquisition, creating content, programming, technical, delivery, distribution, sales, manage the process of launching new platforms.

- Prior experience launching similar start up broadcast projects will be a pre-requisite.

The position reports into the Group CEO Global business.
