Job Responsibilities - Head the operations of the renewable portfolio (solar and wind)/ Work with renewable energy projects to develop and maintain a profitable renewable energy finance portfolio of assets. - Provide inputs to the Investment team during deal evaluation phase. - Lead the entire technical diligence exercise. - Tracking of key financial & operating parameters of investee companies and conducting regular data analysis to identify red flags and highlight early warning signals - Regular site visits to understand the plant operations/ monitor the progress of under construction projects. - Preparing Investment Committee notes, financial models and presentations. - Overseeing origination, development of investment thesis, due diligence, evaluation, negotiations & execution, documentation, monitoring and exit. - Create systems and processes for streamlining of operations. - Regular site visits to understand the plant operations/ monitor the progress of under construction projects. - Conducting strategic and regulatory risk analysis for each investment proposal. Candidate Profile - Years of experience: 15 - 20 years. - Expertise in renewable energy business, energy markets (regulations) & related technologies. - Deal structuring, deep understanding of financial information, statements, company accounts, sector based data and the renewable energy competitive environment. - Understand the impact of various macro and micro economic variables on the businesses. - Excellent negotiation, interpersonal & presentation skills. - Examining and interpreting data from different sources and understanding the impact this will have for investment decision making. - Maintain healthy relationships with investee companies, intermediaries and internal stakeholders to achieve business goals.
