Location: Mumbai
Position Grade: Deputy Vice President/Vice President
Function: Operations and Customer Services
Qualifications:
- Post Graduate / CA / MBA
- NISM MF certification mandatory
Work Experience (highlight) :
- At least 10 - 12 years of prior mutual fund experience in handling Mid & Back office Operations / Banking / Investor services and related activities
Core Responsibilities:
- Treasury / Back office operations, Banking Operations, Custody trade and settlement Operations, Investor Services, R&T Operations, Fund Accounting, Unit Administration etc.
- Hands on operations experience in additional products such as ETFs, Passives, Index Funds, New age digital payment gateways, etc.
- Managing service providers - custody & FA relationship, RTA including call center, Banking, monitoring their SLA's
- Managing audits - Internal, Statutory, Regulatory
- AMC Branch coordination - to exercise daily controls, ensure minimal complaints and quick resolution
- Review the existing policies and guidelines on an ongoing basis including policies and guidelines updations as per regulatory and internal norms
- Team management
- Update and implement necessary changes in process flow basis updates from regulatory bodies like SEBI and AMFI for changes in guidelines
- Work closely with other Business Heads of investments, technology, risk, products, sales to analyze and identify process gaps, if any and drive solutions
- Cash management function i.e. coordinating with various Asset Management Company (AMC) branch locations / RTA locations / Banks / Stock Exchanges for daily inflows / outflows of funds
- Exercise control over various reconciliations provided by service providers such as mutual fund bank accounts, unit capital for schemes of mutual fund
Talent Attribute:
- Hands-on experienced operations person in Mutual Funds / AMC
- Sound knowledge of investment products
- Working knowledge of the MF systems, preferably Hexagon
- Ability to analyze & interpret data, information and performance; create reports, dashboards
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Good presentation skills
- Take ownership - research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve any issues
- Strong process knowledge of the function
