Job Role:

Hiring for Large Mining Group

Responsibilities

Reporting to General Manager the Head of Operations will be responsible for the Mining, Engineering and Safety department. The key responsibilities will include

1. Generate the strategy of mining operations and ensuring that the utilization and efficiency of the mine are maintained at optimum

2. Complete the mechanization of the underground mine at Coscuez emerald mine

3. Manpower scheduling and planning

4. Ensuring that targets for the ore and emerald mining are achieved

5. Create, manage and develop the short, medium- and long-term mining plans, guarantying technical and safety standards of the operation

6. Assure the correct mining modeling of the reserves, in order to get an efficient extraction

7. Manage the environmental and safety plans and their strategy

8. Look after the maintenance of a strategic control of the mine including the training processes and permanent audit for employees and consultants.

9. Prepare the reports required by Project/ Country Manager.

10. Look after the compliance of the local regulation.

11. Constantly implement and develop best practices in mining sector.

12. Promote safety in mining operations as part of culture of the Company.

Profile:

1. Mining Engineer. High Level of English. Spanish is preferred but not must.

2. More than 15 years of experience in leading mining works.

3. Knowledge in underground Mining must, planning, geology, applied geotechnical, safety, mining equipment, and mining and environmental regulation in Colombia.
