Head - Operations - Manufacturing Plant

- Oversee plant level expenses and budgeting to optimise costs and benefits

- Run and coordinate operations of manufacturing plants smoothly and meet Sales demands in full. These also include efficient material demand planning and Supply Chain Management.

- Collaborate with MD and other senior management functions to formulate and/ or implement strategies including Made To Stock (MTS) or Made To Order (MTO)

- Oversee efficient Demand Planning and Monthly Production Planning at Plants. Take into account flexibility of forecasts Ensure efficient mix of MTS and MTO strategies, including decisions on working days, shift wise working etc.

- Work on consolidating site operations without compromising customer service, increasing costs, or affecting revenues.

- Manage inventories across plants. Ensure that plants follow set targets for Inventory Days, FIFO and Obsolescence level.

- Ensure all certifications, TPM, 5S and Kaizen philosophy are uniformly maintained across all plants.

- Ensure regulatory compliances

- Oversee implementation of systems, customer expected standards and technology solutions across plants

- Design operation and plant level policies that align with overall organisational strategies

- Implement efficient manufacturing and business processes and standards

- Reduce response time to Sales and Marketing needs. Ensure that Plants have adequate flexibility in production process to meet varying market demand.

- Oversee rollout of new products at plants and ensure timely start of operations (SOP)

- Oversee sustenance of product quality to meet Marketing requirement. Encourage zero defect production. Establish robust raw material checks and provide timely feedback to Sourcing functions about significant changes in supply quality needing corrective actions.

- Coordinate with Sales to improve Customer Satisfaction and retention through measures like OTIF and zero defects

- Manage day-to-day relations with Sales teams, important customers, purchase teams and vendors

- Report on Operational performance and initiate rapid improvements

- Identify risks to the operations and install a review and mitigation mechanism

- Digitise recording and reporting of plant operations and consumptions.
