Head - Operations - Manufacturing Firm

Role Purpose:.

- Operations manager is responsible for leading, managing and developing the operations processes and team to optimize safety, quality, delivery and cost of our products.

- The operations team is responsible to manage manufacturing engineering, planning, purchasing, goods receipt, production, assembly, warehousing, pack & load and internal logistics for new equipment and customer care.

- Operations manager oversees the daily activity.

- Plans, manages, and implements requirements to execute within budget, maintaining a high standard in safety, product quality, productivity, and delivery.

Main Accountabilities:.

- Lead, manage and develop operations team.

- Responsible for the team- s work environment.

- Confirms that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.

- Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements.

- Responsible for the production, internal material management, planning and delivery of all parts and equipment Plans, schedules, and reviews resource requirements to adequate capacity is in place to manage customer orders.

- Support, coach, inform and act as escalation level for operations team members.

- Responsible for PMP.

- Main spokesperson for the operations team to the organization.

- Achieve a can do it, solution oriented, continuous improvement mentality in the organization.

- Manages the stock control and checks that inventory records are accurate.

- Organizes, plans, and implements inventory activity.

- Creates a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines.

- Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties.

- Monitors production standards.

- Follows up on interruptions to the order.

- Responsible for department budgets and operations CAPEX.

- Create, maintain and continuously develop operations processes and systems based on organization operating system, daily management and RCI processes and tools.

- Operations strategy development and target setting.

- Main KPIs and performance metrics.

- Preventive and reactive safety metrics.

- CoPQ and Rework.

- Equipment and Parts OTD.

- Productivity, Utilization, Efficiency.

- Cost Variances.

- Inventory Value and Turn-Over.

- Operations Health Check.

- Collaborate and foster within the team a good collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, customers, suppliers and partners within and outside of organization.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:.

- A relevant university degree.

- 5+ years of experience from operations manager role in manufacturing company with responsibility for manufacturing, assembly, warehouse and logistic operation.

- Experience from working in an international company or project organization.

- Strong leadership skills.

- Highly Organized.

- Knowledgeable in local Health and Safety Regulations.

- Experience in Quality Management.

- Strong lean and continuous improvement skills.

- Production and Planning Skills.

- Understanding of ERP & Stock Management Systems.
