The Head of Operations plays a key role in stabilization of new processes being migrated within the designated area and subsequent smooth running of the same. This includes setting up of performance metrics, regular monitoring of performance, ensuring controls are in place for every process, ensuring Risk Analysis is performed for every process, ensuring adequate training of resources including cross training takes place, establishing communication channels with various onshore teams and building relationships for long terms success of the processes. Key accountabilities include developing &amp; maintaining close relationship with UK/Onshore operations and frequently interacting with stakeholders to resolve service related issues, planning and delivering projects. Innovation and identification opportunities for improvement are strongly expected. Influencing skills will be a key success factor. The position holder will have to manage the operational efficiency and growth of the team members while maintaining the cost case. The role also involves working closely with other functions within HR, Finance, IT and Risk to ensure processes receive adequate support from each function as well as implementation of relevant controls in each work area. In this role, he/she is expected to ensure performance metrics are established for each process, regular meaningful performance reports are being produced and analyzed leading to an action plan. Person Specifications Education Essential: Graduate Desirable: PG / MBA Work Qualifications Essential: Desirable: LEAN / Six Sigma / KAIZEN Training Essential: Desirable: Experience Essential: - 14 - 20 years of experience in Insurance Broking/General Insurance/Reinsurance operations in financial services/ ITES or off shore processing organizations with proven track record in service delivery. OR - 14 - 20 years of Insurance Broking/ Reinsurance experience in tier 1 or 2 IT services companies or Tier 1 captives leading and running insurance/BFSI business, deliveries and technology practice/competencies. Desirable: - Should have managed teams of over 100 people. - Should have managed a P&amp;L responsibility - Transition / migration experience of large processes Knowledge Essential: - Should have led global Reinsurance programs in the offshore environment in areas like Proportional, Non Proportional, Treaty etc - Should have managed a large team specifically in Reinsurance Broking or Underwriting domain as a specialist with Senior Management experience in Reinsurance - Should be able to understand the dynamics of Reinsurance Operations and engage with Global Reinsurance teams - Should have had experience in a mature offshore Reinsurance model with ability to lead large change programs and influence Global Operations Leaders on operational efficacy &amp; driving consistency.
