Head - Operations - Diagnostics

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize home collections and warehouse operations.

- Set goals and objectives for the departments in alignment with company objectives.

Warehouse Operations & Logistics Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of home collections and warehouse departments.

- Cost Efficient Inventory Management, and on-time delivery of warehouse material to respective Locations.

- Ensure efficient scheduling and allocation of resources to meet production targets and customer demands.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

- Inter-city and Intra City Logistics Management

- COCO and Home Collection Operations.

- Monitor product quality and warehouse processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

LIMS Application:

- Review ongoing development and change priority as per business requirements.

- Write system requirements in concurrence with respective department stakeholders.

- Conduct UAT with all stakeholders.

Inventory Management:

- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.

- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Vendor Management:

- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and pricing.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Develop and manage departmental budgets in collaboration with the finance team.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of operations.

- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Team Leadership:

- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to department managers and staff.

- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed.

DESIRED PROFILE:

1) Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

2) Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management, with specific experience in home collections, Logistics and warehouse operations.

3) Proven track record of success in optimizing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement.

4) Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

5) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

6) Solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.

7) Proficiency in LIMS & Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

8) Certification in operations management or supply chain management is a plus.
