Operational Risk Head(Retail banking) Role and Responsibilities : - Will be a subject matter expert to the senior management for proactive management of all aspects of Operational Risk. - Lead the articulation of Operational Risk policies and standards for risk management . - Maintain and strengthen the Risks and Controls assessment framework applicable across lines of defence and drive independent reviews. - Periodically, review and upgrade the framework for incidents and events management and lead the on-ground implementation of the same. - Develop risk MI and reports to capture the accurate and meaningful risk profile and ensure timely dissemination/escalation to the senior management. - Sound understanding of the regulatory requirements in the Operational Risk domain and ability to handle regulatory/external reviews and inspections. - Manage the team of qualified and motivated risk professionals capable of delivering high-quality risk stewardship. Desired Skills: - Hands-on experience in dealing with Operational Risk matters, preferably in the second line of defense. - Experience and the ability to articulate policy and process documents will be essential. - Good understanding of Retail Banking products and at minimum familiarity with payments products. - Prior experience in dealing with digital products and platforms will be preferred. - Should have handled team lead roles. - Work experience of 10-15 years with Banks and at least 3 years in the mid-office or risk role.
