Head - Online Marketing

Work Location: Gurugram

About our Client: Our client is one of the start-up eCommerce firm in India. Due to rapid expansion in their business, they are looking for a senior professional with strong experience working in a start-up unstructured environment to help them take online marketing to next level.

Reporting into COO, you would be part of key leadership team in the organization, combining strategic thinking, analysis and planning of a large team.

Scope of Work - 

- Drive E-Commerce marketing strategy, tactical planning, promotional calendar, creative project timelines and content creation and deployment across key channels.

- Create Long term strategy for online business

- Own Business plan for Online sales channels - both topline and bottom line

- Co-Marketing plan with e-commerce partners and manage online marketing tools and optimize ROI

- Create, update and upload product feeds with content, photos, pricing, shipping

- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of content in listings

- Understand platform algorithms and optimize listings for search engine rankings.

- Ownership of ratings and reviews and ensuring feedback on product is elevated and answered.

- Develop sales forecasting and coordinate orders with logistics department to meet each order's fulfillment requirements, eliminate compliance issues and maximize sales. Work with the CEO and the Finance team to develop the annual budget that ties to the sales objectives for the business as well as the expenses necessary to drive the sales and the capital associated with the investments needed to keep the site current and relevant.

- Facilitate the development of the strategic road map for online presence and ensure effective execution. Annually assess the road map updating plans for site functionality accordingly. The road map would constantly be updated to the long-term direction that the company would like the brand to evolve into.

- Drive innovation and create an environment that supports the continual testing of products and strategies to keep the site fresh and brand right.

- Lead the analysis of sales and behavioral data, market data, industry dynamics, local market intelligence, product trends, customer shopping trends and the competitive landscape to assess growth opportunities and site enhancements.

- Partner with the Head of IT to create a full front to back-end process from IT platform enhancements, logistics and supply chain, to product, marketing and user experience.

- Partner with the marketing/creative media to deliver the look and feel of the digital presence.

- Manage the experience on the website to make it continually exciting and shop-able for the guests including how creative assets are presented to meet the merchant's product launch timeframes.

- Lead the digital team to develop the cadence of activities to drive traffic to the website, including email marketing cadence, social media plans

To be successful, candidate must be able to :

- Work under a fast paced, unstructured start-up environment

- Should be Collaborative, Result oriented and have good communication skills.

- Highly motivated and pro-active, decisive, confident digital media expert. A team player, a - doer-, with a competitive but collaborative style. Ability to anticipate the business needs.

- Develop and execute marketing plans to acquire new users.

- Optimize the website / product experience by partnering with product, marketing and sales to penetrate target audience and reach our aggressive conversion rates.

- Interact with users to help them through to a successful outcome.

- Measure marketing initiatives against metrics to quantify campaign success and identify improvement for future campaigns.

- Demonstrated success and passion for collecting and using customer insights to drive strategic decisions.

- Conversant in multiple marketing and sales channels; knowledge of SEM, email, sales development, and product user experience.

Experience Required:

- Total experience in Online marketing of 8 - 10 years. Preferably in ecommerce company.

- 3 - 5 years of experience in Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing preferably withing B2B/B2C Internet companies. Excellent understanding of internet-related technologies and the e-commerce marketplace.

- Expertise in data-driven marketing. Ability to analyze complex data sets.

- Have experience with growth hackings tools such as Optimizely for A/B Testing, email marketing campaigns, HubSpot for CRM, sales & marketing purposes, Zapier to automate workflows.

- Track record of driving a digital e-commerce platform working closely with peers in information technology, merchandising, planning & allocation, marketing, and supply chain. Further develop the process, discipline, metrics and systems required to run a seamless digital business providing competitive advantages to support overall business strategies.
