Head - New Product Development & Innovation - Food/FMCG

We are looking out a candidates those who have very good experience into product development & product innovation from Food & FMCG industries.

JD :

Responsibilities/core tasks -

Department responsibility

- Handling Budget activities along with Finance team for development of annual recipe budget & Department budget

- Develop production specifications and evaluates processing and storage operations in plants.

- Develop guidelines to facilitate formulation of standard operating procedures.

- Documentation of all scientific development works in compliance to the company's process

- Validation and checking of the recipe & process validation reports submitted by plants

- Define metrics, dashboards and MIS to monitor and track the new product developments (recipe status, trial status, cost analysis, Marketing comments, timelines for launch etc) ; take corrective actions to drive adherence to defined and agreed SLAs

- Co-ordination with Production and quality team for product performance and compliances.

- Presentation and report preparation to be shared with Top Management team and during official visit from Group.

NPD/Existing products:

- Ensure that NPD projects are delivered within timeline

- Liaising with Projects, Marketing, SCM, M&E & Packaging team for various outputs required for business at the time of the NPD trials, planning, agreement, stabilization, material scheduling, and finalization of process loss for different products.

- Supporting in developing process, introduce new technologies, selecting & commissioning of equipment, organize trials, and organize documentation & validation to get the site approved & thereafter commercialization of projects.

- Cost economic feasibility studies for both Process and Raw materials & issue of new standards for commercial launch

- Assisting in identification & selection of new machinery for improving the existing operations / processes in terms of efficiency & quality & thus meeting the business requirements.

- Ensure that all the recipes and documentation related to the products are update and available

- Coordinate project along with Group R&D.

Quality:

- Ensure that plant quality is within Group Standard

- Identify and implement critical quality improvement projects (product, process, food safety, etc.) to raise the bar of quality.

- Ensure that all Quality audits (internal and external) are done as per timeline and expectation.

- Lead and motivate the team on matters related to quality Manesar 24 February 2017

- Ensure that quality communication are effective across the plant and the local management team

- Ensure necessary support from the top management in order to improve plant quality

Packaging :

- Ensure development of new packaging material for new products in the given timeline

- Ensure coordination with various departments for all packaging related activities

- Ensure that all activities related to PM BOM and SAP are closed in the given timeline

- Guarantee that all packaging instructions are available with production team

- Support new vendor development.

- Support new packaging material development.
