New Product Development (NPD) Head- Phillaur - Our client a leading name in biscuits and confectionery manufacturing industry are looking to bring on board a NPD Head to join their plant in Phillaur. - As an NPD Head you would need to plan, develop, direct marketing efforts to take it through the Innovation Funnel for new product development with high focus on premium portfolio development in a cost efficient manner . - You would work closely with all key stakeholders to streamline the NPDs process with a high focus on strategic priorities & align the key performance indicators of building profitable premium and existing product portfolio. - Review and evaluate the product briefs in close liaison with the Marketing team and prioritize the innovation pipeline based on the commercial viability, Market relevance & operational/legal complexities, among others. - Responsible for leading cross-functional project teams through a stage-gate process to ensure delivery of projects on-time, in-full and within budget. - Post the commercial launch of the products, track the growth and performance of the key new products in the market. Provide observations and insights to Sales & Marketing team on taking the new product to its true potential - Next level growth proposition in terms of benchmarking competition trends and opportunity to grow to next level. - Give a strategic direction and define synergized processes for building a market innovation unit. Onboard the regional stakeholders on their respective roles in ensuring building a successful innovation pipeline. Required skills : - 12+ years industry experience in Manufacturing, Commercial with 7+ years as NPD & Innovation Head - Knowledge/ Exposure to Overall Business Cycle - Exposure to Sales and Brand Management - Knowledge on the FMCG and Pharma Industry - Degree in Food Technology with MBA in Finance is preferred. - An added qualification in Packaging & Materials Management will be desirable - Experience in Food Industry is essential with stint in Biscuits is highly desirable.
