JOB PURPOSE:
Product Engineering leader in the Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR) domain, you will play a pivotal role in leading the product development efforts, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative and high-quality robotic systems. This position requires a seasoned engineering leader with a strong technical background, strategic vision, and a proven track record in developing and launching complex products in the autonomous robotics field.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
- Provide technical vision and leadership for the product engineering team, guiding the development of state-of-the-art autonomous mobile robotic solutions.
- Oversee the entire product engineering lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product development strategy aligned with business objectives and market demands.
-Collaborate with the NPD team to translate concepts into technically feasible and commercially viable products.
- Lead the design and prototyping phase, ensuring that product designs meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the NPD team.
- Work closely with design and development teams to create robust and scalable robotic solutions.
- Ensure that the solutions developed meet high-quality standards, are scalable, and align with the latest technological advancements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the autonomous robotics domain.
- Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance the performance and capabilities of robotic products.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the product engineering process.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct thorough testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from product development to - mass production.
- Implement scalable engineering solutions that facilitate efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Role will report into CTO
Span of control (Direct Reportees): NPD Team
INTERACTIONS:
Internal Stakeholders: Production, software development team, mechanical design engineers etc.
External Stake holders: External Stakeholders: Customer -CXO level leaders
II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS
PROFILE: Ideally ~
- Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in leading product engineering teams in the autonomous mobile robotics industry.
- Strong technical expertise in robotics, mechatronics, and related engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to bring innovative products from concept to market.
- In-depth knowledge of product development processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Passionate about automation and robotics technology.
REQUISITES: Exposure to robotics product development with manufacturing and automation background.
