- Role involves creating new channels of technological, functional and business solutions including establishing Centres of Excellence, Utilities, Products and Business Factories.
- Person in this role will incubate & scale up new capabilities for the firm and might be required to directly/indirectly lead core incubation teams.
- Role works closely with senior leaders to identify strategic priorities and influence outcomes.
- Role requires a strong blend of entrepreneurial mind-set, multi-functional skillsets and a facilitative leadership style to drive strategic transformation objectives.
We are in search of an incumbent who is
- 15+ years of progressive financial services industry experience across diverse broad technology, functional and business domains
- Demonstrated experience in building centres of excellence, with specific expertise in incubating and scaling up factory set-ups, utilities and productized services
- Skilled at leading individual contributors, influencing senior leaders without authority and delivering solutions in a highly matrixed federated organization
- Strong business and technology acumen having worked across diverse technology and business stacks in leadership roles
- Outstanding strategic thinking skills - Needs to be a clear thinker with superb problem-solving skills to prioritize and stay focused on big needle-movers
- High degree of comfort with ambiguity needs to have a robust experience building new capabilities
- External orientation - a track record of looking outside to identify emerging trends and being able to capitalize on the opportunities they presented to impact the organizational strategy.
- Consultative skills - Ability to develop solutions and sell concepts amidst severe opposition
- Product-mindset - Being able to capture the key stakeholder needs and productize technology-driven solutions to address it
- Strong facilitative leadership and interpersonal skills to quickly gain shared vision externally and internally in order to move things forward under extremely stringent deadlines
- Self-motivated, highly resilient with strong bias for action. Should be able to work equally in a slow-paced and a fast-paced set-up
- Strong sense of ownership and an infectious passion for their area of responsibility
