Head - National Marketing - Industrial

Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing the go to market, product segment and channel strategies

- Manage the product portfolio - decide what products are sold in the market

- Define the product strategy as well as broad product group go to market strategies

- Understand the size, shape and growth potential of the market. Articulate the product requirements to take advantage of the growth or gaps in the market

- Work with global business lines to define the sales approach for the business lines

- Develop support literature that supports the salesmen and customers in selling the products

- Provide technical support for any questions / issues relating to the products, its uses or the welding process

- Monitor and proactively chase any quality issues, supporting the sales force in addressing customer issues and also driving improvements back into R & D and the source factory

- Set and maintain price lists, as well as pricing and discount policies

- Work with supply chain and central teams to agree the best source of product that need to be imported

- Manage any special pricing arrangements with customers and distributors

- Manage and control any sales rebates that may be payable

- Build a competitive product portfolio to meet the business goals, by developing customer sensitive systems

- Manage all new product / improvement proposals, from concept to line production as individual projects/ programmes

- Plan and ensure ongoing enhancement of product development facilities

Preference:

1. Industrial experience: Should have handled national marketing in any one of the following industries
Industrial paints/industrial gases/lubricants (castrol, Gulfoil, Penzzoil) /equipments/Adhesives, seals, /Abrasives/Power tools/Power transmission.

- Should be a graduate engineer in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Branch.

- Post Graduation/Management degree would be an added advantage.
