Job Responsibilities :
Responsible for formulating strategies to grow the MSME and Institutional Banking business. Will oversee product development and management including product innovation, pricing, sales/ channel strategy and marketing strategy for the MSME and Institutional business. The incumbent will work closely with the teams in the field to meet loan and portfolio management metrics.
Product Strategy and Planning :
- Oversee development and implementation of the Bank's MSME and Institutional Banking lending policy and guidelines
- Define product strategy and road-map in terms of market reach, penetration and sales strategy
- Develop strategy for raising bulk deposits from identified institutions and ensure effective implementation of the same
- Develop and operationalize sound MSME and Institutional Banking loan portfolio management through efficient credit risk analysis
- Evaluate and assess the credit risk involved in all aspects of the lending guidelines to provide recommendations in a timely manner
- Support the development of product sales strategy and region-wise sales targets for MSME and Institutional Banking business
- Continually review the existing MSME and Institutional Banking product portfolio and their profitability for the Bank incorporating feedback from various stakeholders (e.g. Branch teams, sales teams etc.)
- Review and monitor adherence to budgets; highlight any variances and provide inputs to take corrective action
- MSME and Institutional Banking Business
- Oversee development of marketing and sales plans to drive revenues, market share and profitability for MSME and Institutional Banking business
- Track and ensure adherence to revenue targets of MSME and Institutional Banking products from different zones/ branches
- Collaborate with field staff to deliver superior customer service experience, including proactively providing feedback on loan application fit with underwriting guidelines
- Make decisive loan recommendations and clearly articulate compelling cases for loan decision to appropriate approval levels for higher ticket loans
- Ensure a healthy bulk deposit ratio as per the requirements of the bank in alignment with organizational strategy
- Supervise the implementation of agreed SLAs for MSME and Institutional Banking product sales cycle
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of MSME and Institutional Banking credit reports and review the same
- Review the monthly reports on NPA received from the zones/ branches and drive reduction of the volume and value of NPA cases
Credit Policy and Process :
- Review and recommend modifications to the Bank's MSME and Institutional Banking credit policy and process
- Lead the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities in the credit disbursal process for MSME and Institutional Banking business owners
- Oversee analysis of credit data to determine risk involved in extending credit to MSME and Institutional Banking businesses
- Support the growth in MSME and Institutional Banking asset portfolios in a prudent manner and enhance sales to good accounts
- Responsible for active participation in the design, implementation and validation of models used in the credit rating process
People :
- Ensure that the employees within the division maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
- Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and reportees
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline
- Ensure that the all the departments reporting to him/her are adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers
