We have an exciting opportunity with a large well known Bank in UAE for a passionate person who is an expert of money markets and funding business. Key accountabilities for the role are as below- A: STRATEGY AND PLAN 1. Responsible for the management of Treasury deposit and wholesale funding counterpart portfolios and strategically enlarging the existing base. 2. Act as the funding conduit of the bank, including management of relevant wholesale funding programmes. 3. Interface with business in helping guide pricing, hedging strategies for loans, deposits, wholesale funding and achieving relevant regulatory benchmarks with respect to liquidity management &amp; capital solutions when called upon to do so. 4. Design, achieve funding management strategy. 5. Translate the strategy of Treasury into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans. B: FINANCIAL 1. Work with internal stakeholders to optimize bank wide funding sources and enhance return to bank while taking a holistic view on the bank's overall liquidity position. 2. Be part of and animate bank wide initiatives for liquidity and all short term balance sheet items. 3. Responsible for global risk arising out of the desk's activities (credit &amp; market risk). 4. Contribute to the preparation of the business area's budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. C: PEOPLE MANAGEMENT. 1.Manage self and team in line with the bank's people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance. 2. Manage the effective achievement of the team's objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation. D: CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT 1. Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment. REQUIREMENTS: 1. At least 12-15 years of experience running funding &amp; related activities within a bank in a senior role with management responsibilities. 2. Knowledge of Risk management systems (For example: Murex; Bloomberg and Reuters). 3. Systems regulations and markets. 4. In depth knowledge of both Islamic and conventional funding and asset products.
