Head - Modern Trade - FMCG

General Responsibilities

- Drive sales of Home Care products in the Modern Trade Channel by - executing marketing programs, Joint Business Planning & Driving key metrics such as Line Fill, OTIF etc. This position will be responsible for directly managing all the Major Key Account partners, with channel marketing responsibilities & high level of interactions with the business / divisions.

- The manager will need to build excellence in operations through business analytics & work with the international teams to drive Modern Trade growth.

The two primary areas of focus are outlined below.

Relationship building with MT customers

Responsible for developing and nurturing relationship with modern trade customers. Elements will include:

- Joint Business Planning with the customer teams

- Top to Top meeting – to build relationship & intimacy

- Signing - Terms of Trade ( TOT ) & agreements with each individual customers

Market Planning and Analytics

- Responsibilities include, working with the broader marketing organization to increase expertise in customer, market, and competitive intelligence.

Areas of focus include:

- Implementing marketing programs & execution in the channel

- Develop a Business intelligence capabilities within the organization - including areas of competitor tracking

- Driving growth through Promoter organization which is critical to success

- Recommending key approaches to gain market intelligence, prioritizing areas of focus, and sharing critical information.

Qualifications
(Education/Experience and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- A Master’s degree in Business with at least 15 years of experience of which, a minimum of 5 – 7 years of working only with the Modern Trade Channel is required. The candidate should be from the FMCG industry background, and having a marketing experience would be an added advantage.

- Expert/master knowledge and experience with practices in managing the CHANNEL, with strong leadership abilities to lead a National Team.

Reporting

The positions reports to the head of the Home Care Business.
