Head - Merchandising - Beauty (3-12 yrs)
We are looking out for candidates for the role of Head Merchandiser - Beauty for International Luxury Premium Brands based out in Mumbai.
The Head Merchandiser for Beauty is responsible for developing and executing the merchandising strategy for the beauty category. This role involves overseeing the selection, pricing, and presentation of beauty products to maximize sales and profitability. The Head Merchandiser will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the beauty category aligns with the company's overall objectives and customer expectations.
- Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy for the beauty category, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Product Selection: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to curate a diverse and attractive product selection, keeping up with the latest beauty trends and customer preferences.
- Pricing Strategy: Set competitive and profitable pricing strategies for beauty products while monitoring market trends and competitor pricing.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock levels, and minimizing overstock or stockouts. Implement effective inventory turnover strategies.
- Visual Merchandising: Work with visual merchandisers to create appealing in-store and online displays that showcase beauty products and drive customer engagement.
- Promotions and Campaigns: Plan and execute promotional campaigns, sales events, and product launches to drive sales and increase brand visibility.
- Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with beauty product vendors and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and sales reports to track product performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, buyers, and analysts to ensure the effective execution of the beauty category strategy.
- Compliance: Ensure that all merchandising activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for the beauty category, optimizing spending to achieve financial goals.
- Customer Focus: Stay attuned to customer feedback and preferences, using this information to enhance the beauty product offering.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in beauty merchandising, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the beauty industry, including product trends and consumer behavior.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using merchandising software and tools.
