The Role We are seeking to identify an accomplished media strategist with the required technology understanding and industry presence who can create and operationalize an integrated media and communications strategy that will be international in reach and scope. As the Head of Media relations, you will be responsible for positioning the company as a best-in-class data networks solutions company and a preferred employer, in India and internationally. You will operationally lead the function, shaping stories for various media opportunities. The position will ideally be based in Gurgaon. Mumbai and Pune can be considered as well. You will : - Identify, shape and write stories for different media types - business, mainstream, trade, B-school case studies and journals, award nominations - Work closely with media editors and reporters to keep them updated on the evolution of the industry and company via in-person meetings, briefings, and other means - Develop and manage the media presence approach spokesperson training, interviews, press conferences, farm visits, speaker opportunities, media events - Work with agencies to develop written /graphic/video content via storyboarding and messaging - Manage and draw insights from media-monitoring platforms to help shape ongoing content - Lead content operations - content calendars, workflow, reporting dashboards. In sum, you will set up and manage a dynamic infrastructure that uses today's tools to deliver tomorrow's products and services. Your Profile - You should have 15-20 years of experience in media, preferably including a stint n a corporate role. Premier graduation school and business/technology journalism with hands-on business and international experience will be a solid advantage. Must be able to comprehend technology and build stories with context new technology areas that the company has ventured into and ensure release in the relevant media. - Ability to use spreadsheets and analytical tools to draw insights on content/media performance and other metrics is important.
