Head - Materials/Inventory Management - Auto Components

Client :

A leading Auto Components and Precision Engineered products manufacturer with multi country, multi location operations.

The Role :

The Head of Materials (based out of Corporate office in South India) is a key member of the management team providing leadership, owning and driving the development and deployment of Material/Inventory management strategy and policies in line with Business Objectives.

Ownership for the Material/Inventory planning and execution process with internal and external stakeholders in line with the Inventory Strategy including Supplier Mgmt, Costing, QA, Tech Specs, Volume Mgmt etc.

Responsible for Capability building for the Materials Mgmt function - process, people and IT to ensure optimal effectiveness to the business.

Own the Business Metrics with respect to Materials/Inventory management function thereby directly contributing to the P & L.

Desired Skills & Experience :

Engineer with an MBA from a premier institute preferred

15 to 20 years of relevant leadership experience Auto components space in Materials / Inventory Management function with direct ownership for Material / Inventory Strategy, Ownership and accountability for P & L.

Senior leader with experience/background to handle a CxO level role, with analytical ability to provide strong reasoning for Inventory related decisions and actions thereby balancing cost vs service level.
