Head Of Marketplace


- Head of Marketplace is senior level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc.

- Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team.

- The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.


Responsibilities -

- Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning

- Working backwards from the customer to determine the insights / vision, in particular to improve Company's perception in the category.

- Drive innovation by supporting the business on key strategic initiatives to build long- term customer trust

- Creating program goals and related metrics, tracking progress and managing through obstacles/blockers to achieve your objectives.

- Support Businesses in taking informed decisions through deep analytics

- Utilize marketplace specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop beyond existing solutions

- Develop plans and execute functional strategies for large/ business requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within region/business

- Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across range of products

- Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within organization as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance

- Partner with other regional and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Company's marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business

- Engage in internal and external negotiations

Qualifications :

- 8-12 years of relevant experience

- B2B E-Commerce marketplace platform experience

- Experience managing in a large, complex and matrixed organization

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the B2B Marketplace

- Working knowledge of different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function

- Practical experience of multiple business cycles

- Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services

- Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise

- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

- Demonstrated project management skills

- Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills

Education : Masters degree preferred (MBA)
