- Need Head of Marketing @Gurugram for an Indian startup into online marketplace


- We are a 11 year young recruitment firm with a global reach named ArCent. We provide dependable top level talent to our clients. Most of our clients are leading MNCs and CMM level companies.

- Our Client is a as an online money changer and pivoted into its current marketplace model in 2014. The Company now operates Indias largest retail forex marketplace accessible on the web and mobile and has three key offerings forex cards, currency and outbound remittances from India.


- The company enables customers to buy, sell or transfer foreign currency at the best rates through 5000+ partner bank and money exchange locations across 650+ cities in India. Headquartered in Gurgaon, Founded in 2011, with an employee strength of 125. Funded by a well renowned financial focussed private equity firm, the company has transformed the forex market since its inception by introducing concepts such as zero margin forex rates, locked-in exchange rates and super quick 4-hour forex order deliveries. . The company has grown at over 75% annually over the last five years.

Position Summary:

The head of marketing will be responsible for the most important function in the organisation - driving growth. The person will be expected to conceptualise and execute all marketing efforts, while optimising on specific metrics. The person will work closely with the founders to devise strategies and campaigns to increase growth and will directly report to one of the founders.

Specific roles and Responsibilities:

1.Formulate and execute the marketing strategy for the company across all channels; Segment the customer base and develop marketing strategies to engage with customers in different segments creatively

2.Identify opportunities for leveraging the customer base to offer new products

3.Manage the marketing budget in a cost-effective manner

4.Generate leads from every possible source while controlling overall ROI. Come up with innovative ideas and growth hacks to drive more business; Track, report and optimise key business metrics across different channels using a variety of tools

5.Manage all SEO efforts to ensure constant improvement in organic traffic and organic business volumes

6. Optimise all paid ad campaigns across Adwords, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Youtube to get the max number of conversions at the best possible ROI

7.Understand our target group perfectly and translate that knowledge to create the perfect targeting across all digital channels

8.Manage all direct marketing efforts - Come up with mailer/ SMS concepts and regularly engage the audience by sending broadcasts. Manage email deliverability to ensure high inbox landing rates

9.Devise complete social media strategy to drive actionable results from social media campaigns

10.Work closely with the content writers to devise overall content strategy and drive more traffic and business. Proof read content pieces to ensure quality standards

11.Discover and manage relationships with influencers and other corporate alliance partners to generate more leads

12.Find and manage relevant affiliate marketing agencies that can run performance driven campaigns to drive more business

13.Collect data/feedback from marketing campaigns and tailor strategies accordingly for maximum effectiveness

14.Take the lead in determining the right pricing/discounting level to maximize value

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

1.High quality education pedigree with an MBA from a reputed institute

2.At least 7 years of experience in the marketing function in a high quality, fast growing environment encompassing both digital and offline channels

3.Track record of developing creative strategies for customer engagement through app, mailers, digital and other channels

4.Excellent understanding of SCO, SEO concepts and demonstrable experience of growing organic traffic at a previous organisation

5.Proven lead generation capabilities through paid digital mediums. Excellent hands-on exposure of managing large scale campaigns on Adwords, Bing, Facebook and other ad platforms.

6.Experience of managing relationships with influencers, agencies and alliance partners with regular correspondence to maximise lead flow

7.Excellent track record of creating engaging broadcasts and campaigns to keep existing customers engaged via direct marketing efforts.

8.Experience of creating social and content strategy. Must have created at least some content or social campaigns that managed to drive significant traffic and business
