It summarizes job purpose and the area of expected results)  - Anticipate and influence market trends in the cement and construction industry and building materials industry and analyse its impact on BU and recommend the Marketing plans.  - Propose and implement the marketing strategy to maximize BU profit in the target segment in a sustainable way  - Build competitive advantages and generate the best value propositions to customers to maximize BU profit in a sustainable way   - Enhance the development of a customer oriented mindset and organisation within the BU  - Develop & maintain in depth knowledge of the Target Segments  - Maintain MIS on competition and substitutes in Building material industry to make necessary alteration in the marketing plans to protect the profitability of the BU and maintain the Brand Leadership in the market  - Propose and Implement the Rural Marketing Plan build to improve the reach and penetration in the new geographies  Job Responsibilities :  (Primary tasks & responsibilities that are specific to the position)  MARKET UNDERSTANDING   - Adjust / Implement Division segmentation criteria and ensure consistency of market segmentation.  - Identify critical market trends and assess their potential impact on BU business.  - In cooperation with Sales, ensure regular active listening to and acute understanding of customers and consumer segments.  - In cooperation with Market Research  - Manage and structure segment database  - Communicate up to date information and regular analyses on segment players and profitability to marketing & sales teams   - Lead pro-active research on segment trends, identify critical ones and assess their potential impact on BU business  - Facilitate and ensure consistency of customer segmentation by sales force  - Develops and maintain expertise of channel customers- business and economics  - Effective monitoring of competitors activities and structured reporting.  BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT :  - Assess the value of relevant target segments and define the Marketing strategy and propose improvements and innovations in order to maximise the BU profitability and ensure the implementation of the Marketing plans.  - In cooperation with Sales  - Define the target customer base  - Define the BU Brand architecture  - Monitor the price evolution in the relevant segments   - Develop the loyalty of profitable customers through various promotional plans  - Define and implement local branding policy in line with Group's and Division's guidelines   - Design and submit the value proposition to the BU as per the segment (products, systems, services, partnerships, distribution/delivery, pricing, branding, communication, etc.) monitor its implementation  - Research and follow-up new business opportunities and evaluation for the current situation in the markets  - Participate in the relationship with key market players (professional unions and associations, specifiers, influencers and other decision makers)   - Analyze the distribution channels and routes to market, and make recommendation for change where appropriate  CUSTOMER ORIENTATION DEVELOPMENT :  Based on customer understanding and the needs lead and co-ordinate the definition and implementation of customer driven processes and practices within the BU e.g. Internal Quality Parameters, Product Quality Benchmarking and Monitoring, Customer Complaints Management, New Product Development and Technical Assistance and Services plans for the end users.  Propose customer driven processes and practices, and coordinate their implementation to maintain and improve the Customer satisfaction and Brand Loyalty  MARKETING OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT :  - Actively participate in the key stages of the BU management cycle : Strategic Review, Performance Improvement Plan, BU Marketing Plans and lead the implementation of the marketing actions  - Develop/implement market intelligence methods and tools   - Coordinate customer satisfaction and loyalty measurement and analyse; recommend and implement action plans to improve them   - Assess shortlist and recommend external marketing partners (communication/ market research agencies, etc.)   - Propose and submit consistent marketing communications (Marketing documents, advertising/ promotional materials and events etc.)  - Follow-up new product/system development, participate in their launch, monitor results for his/her segment and make appropriate recommendations  RELATIONS WITH OTHER FUNCTIONS / WITH DIVISION :  Work in close cooperation with :  - Sales and Technical Assistance to ensure in-depth common understanding of market and customers, and effective daily cooperation of the marketing and sales teams   - Strategy for business development and new markets  - LCR, ATC, Technical Centre for product innovation and improvements  - Operations for product quality benchmarking and product range improvement  - Finance for segment profitability analysis  Lead and promote exchanges of marketing experience with other BUs of the Division and BUs of other Business lines, implement their best practices and facilitate the transfer of his/her own BU best practices   ORGANISATION AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT :  - Propose improvement Marketing organisation to meet marketing strategy   - Adjust the Marketing organisation (headcount, working processes, resources allocation, etc) to optimise its effectiveness and efficiency  - Manage the Marketing teams under responsibility  - In cooperation with HR ensures the recruitment, training, competency and career development of the Marketing personal  - Contribute to the development of market and customer knowledge in the other functions of the BU  - Propose and participate in actions to develop sales force effectiveness (e.g. product knowledge training)  Key Result Areas :  (Indicate the performance parameters / results that the position shall be measured on.
