Our Client, an Automotive Component supplier (Foundry and Forging products) is looking to double its revenue over next four years period, with product rationalization, focusing on value added niche product, with high contributions.

On account of the business growth envisaged, the management has evinced interest to hire a senior leader to build leadership strength in the Marketing & Business development with a focus on Contribution & profitability. To begin with the ideal candidate will lead the business development activities, and further grow to manage the complete Marketing, sales and post order process.

Role dimensions:

1. Business Plan responsibility: The Foundry and Forging division are run as independent P&L units. The role is responsible for developing strategic business plan, with competition and market analysis and achieving the Business plan targets on Revenue & Contribution, which goes along with manufacturing. He specifically has to take care of pricing and revenue recognition.

2. Integrated Business Development responsibilities: The role has the integrated responsibility for interaction between customer development/sourcing team and internal team to focus on future market, and to sustain the leadership position. To keep abreast with the market on the latest development in technology, new product and competition intellect. Leader should be able to generate new business opportunities, process the RFQ and convert into profitable business relationship.

3. Sustenance and improving SOB of existing Market: The leader would be supporting the customers in continuously feeding them the products on time, Manage the inventory at customer location, deliver as per customer schedule of their manufacturing shops, giving them the flexibility on delivering schedules. Provide all technical and commercial Support to customer. (Example: Stock status, delivery plan, Advance shipment notification, Quality corrective action plan, RFQ status, development status, Sample development and supply update, etc). Through improving service at customer touch points, achieve customer delight and improve SOB.

4. Customer Account Management: On an ongoing basis, the role to ensure customer follow-up on Delivery (OTD/OTIF), Quality (PPM, Customer rejection, Warranty, Quality Targets), SOB (Part Category wise, Customer model wise), Documentation (C-forms, debit/Credit notes, Excise, Sale tax, Govt. duties, Road permits, Proof of delivery, Contract review, Long term supply agreement, legal contracts etc), Pricing (RM Impact, Power impact, Currency impact, Conversion Impact, Packing and freight cost Impact etc).

5. Delivering planned schedule at optimum cost: The role will be responsible for delivering customer requirements within the time & cost budgets planned for. While achieving that he should ensure maximizing capacity utilization, adhering the schedule, minimize the inventory, minimize the lead time and maximizing customer delight.
