Overall Objective:- This position has the overall responsibility of handling complete Plant operations in terms of Production, Maintenance, Quality and HR Functions, across all Own and Third party manufacturing operations. 1. Overall Responsibilities:- a. Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales. b. Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development. c. Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments. d. Ensure consistent enhancement in productivity. Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards. Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards. e. Overall Industrial Relation of the manufacturing unit. Liaison the activities with the Government and Statutory authorities. Manage, develop and engage the direct reporting staff. f. Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care. 2. Specific Responsibilities - Overall responsible for the Product Availability as per the market Demand and to meet the Budgeted volume. - Define, propose and implement the annual production plan for the Plant, according to communicated needs and Sales Forecasts. - Overseeing the preventative Maintenance Management - To define together with the maintenance the preventive plan, including timings to stop and start the production. - Budget - Prepare and manage the budget in line with company's / financial policies and procedures. - Profitability Management - Analyze performance continuously, permanently controlling all the production costs identifying the deviations causes and proposing corrective measures. - Lead a quality culture and deliver Quality product in the Market place. - Responsible for implementing systems & processes. - Responsible for Key Performance Indicators for the plant. - To Maintain and follow the inventory norms for Engineering & Finished goods. - To handle new Projects in the plant and outside in case of third party operations. - Ensuring that health and safety policy and guidelines are followed and that Safety targets are set up annually, measured and improved continuously, thus creating a safe environments where employees can work safely in all areas. - People Management and Development; manage the performance of his teams and developing them through regular reviews and appropriate training. - Through appropriate management style, foster a culture of engagement, commitment and continuous improvement within the plant, coaching and developing a leadership style amongst the management population that will support this culture. - Develop skill level of the plant employees and supporting them to achieve their targets. To maintain a cohesive & harmonious industrial and employee relation in the plant team. - Identification of redundant equipment's, non-performing fixed assets and take further necessary action. - Liaison with local Govt. / Statutory bodies and ensure the compliance with all the approvals / licenses/NOC's etc. are obtained. - To improve yield / performance by systematically removing waste and reducing variation - Overall Equipment Effectiveness and capacity utilization. LEAN Manufacturing ,Flexibility and reliability and Process Improvements - Plan attainment, New products on time, Delivery on business plan. - To Ensure - No EHS ( Environment , Health and Safety) critical incident, No Lost Time Injury (LTI),Meet Environmental Management System (EMS) goals ,On time implementation of management action plan 3. Job Specification: - - Engineering background, preferably Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical from a good institute. - 16-18 years of Work Experience, in a FMCG major, having worked as Production / Manufacturing Manager and as a unit head. - Very high degree of Leadership Skill and an excellent Team player. - Excellent numerical skills, data analysis & interpretation, and strong hold over Metrices. - Good understanding of Manufacturing Excellence concepts and Strong HR skills. - Proven capability of Industrial Relations skill. Excellent Communication skills and ability to deal with statutory and other external agencies. - Ability to handle pressure.
