Head/Managing Director - Consulting

We have been retained by a marquee development advisory platform to help onboard a 'Head' for their consulting business.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead, strengthen and grow the advisory practice's P&L, to achieve a set target year on year across sectors in both domestic and other markets, esp. Africa and SE Asia

2. Generate new strategic initiatives, business ideas, ventures and service offerings that could add to the existing revenue model through long term contracts

3. Develop and implement the business plan for achieving revenue target

4. Develop and manage institutional relationships with potential clients and investors/ Financial Institutions, Development Finance Institutions, industry associations, donor agencies, large program implementers and others

4. Structure contracts, oversee the entire process from initiation to negotiation to deal closure

5. Mentor team members to create better delivery and leadership capability

6. Monitor and achieve top and bottom line metrics

Required Qualifications and Skills :

1. Minimum 18+ years of proven experience of Management Consulting for both public and private companies across sectors like financial services, agriculture, health, energy, livelihood and the civil society

2. Post Graduate degree in Management / MBA

3. Excellent business development skills and relationship with clients and investors in both domestic and other markets, esp. Africa and SE Asia

4. Comprehensive knowledge especially of domestic financial markets

5. Ability to drive, plan, execute and oversee projects in a timely manner through the team

6. Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvements

7. Strong entrepreneurship drive, excellent managerial skills

8. Self-confident, good judgment and ability to make sound and tough decisions

9. Strong team-player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation and public speaking skill
